True strength lies not in defiance, but in acceptance

This is a consolidation of 78 trading guidelines outlined by Al Brooks in CHAPTER 25 of his book on trading reversals. These guidelines have been thoughtfully grouped into 11 categories, reflecting significant milestones in a trader's journey towards success. Furthermore, a subtle "hunter in the wild" setting has been infused into these guidelines to aid visualization. Enjoy.

In the heart of the unforgiving wilderness, where winter’s icy grip tightens its hold on the land, there dwells a solitary hunter, you. Alone amidst the stark beauty of the wild, you are walking on the razor’s edge between life and death.

Each day brings new challenges, as you set out into the frozen landscape in search of sustenance. With every step, you tread carefully, keenly aware of the dangers that lurk in the shadows. As in this vast expanse of wilderness, you are not only pitted against the forces of nature; you are also the hunted one. Predators prowl the snow-covered forests, their hungry eyes fixed on their prey. Yet, the greatest adversary that you face is not the ferocious beasts that roam the land — it is the relentless tug of your own ego.

Your ego, a stubborn companion that refuses to yield to the demands of the wild, whispers doubts and insecurities into your ear. It urges you to take unnecessary risks, to defy the laws of nature in a misguided attempt to assert dominance over your surroundings.

But you know that to succumb to the siren call of your ego is to court disaster. With steely determination, you embark on a mission to conquer your ego, to humble yourself before mother nature. You learn to adapt, to bend like the branches of the ancient pines in the face of the howling wind. You humble yourself before the mighty forces of the wilderness, recognizing that true strength lies not in defiance, but in acceptance. You start to realize you are not fighting with the nature, neither your ego is fighting with the nature, it is about the fight between you and your ego.

As the days turn into weeks and the weeks into months, your resolve is tested time and again. Yet, with each passing challenge, you grow stronger, more resilient. You learn to listen to the whispers of the wind, to read the subtle signs written in the snow. And in the end, you emerge not as a conqueror, but as a survivor — a testament to the indomitable spirit of the human “soul”.
